About Me

I am an artist living in Milwaukee, WI with an art space located in 16th Street Studios within the Racine Arts and Business Center.  I studied Art and Architecture at the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee before ulitmately receiving my Bachelor's in Education.  After a time recording and releasing music as a core member of Bleeding Like Mine, I turned my attention to other art forms, most recently alternative photography and quilt making.

As an artist statement : "Quilts allow me to master techniques through traditional cut and sew projects and take those lessons to evolve a personal style of expression.  My latest portfolio explores the simplest of forms to convey more complex thoughts or experiences."

My influences range from Civil War patterns and photography, to minimalist architects, painters and graphic designers, to subjects and lyrics of favorite writers from the 80's to today.  By reverting back to the simplest of forms - mainly line and color, I try to tell a story that perhaps runs deeper than the initial image would suggest.
